In the Ivory Coast, Rasta (aged 16) is traumatized by the armed conflict that is devastating his country. Tormented by a painful secret, the youngster sets off on a journey to the north of the country, in the area held by the rebels, in search of a mysterious soldier…

Biography
Samir Benchick was born in Algeria and, after having studied psychology and cinema, moved to the Ivory Coast where, in 2008, he made his directing debut with a short documentary, followed in 2010 by Mètres carrés, shot in France. In 2012 Sababou was his first feature film, again a documentary. He is currently working on his first fiction feature film, Bahia.
