Mabrouk El Mechri
Biography
Mabrouk El Mechri is a French director, screenwriter and actor. Born in Versailles in 1976, he began his directing career in 1998 with the short film Mounir et Anita, followed in 2000 by Génération cutter and by Concours de circonstance in 2003. In 2005, he wrote and directed his first feature film, Virgil, and in 2008 JCVD - No Justice, presented at the Rome Film Festival and featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme as himself. In 2012, he directed the thriller The cold light of day, with Bruce Willis, Henry Cavill and Sigourney Weaver.
