Synopsis
The inner world of a child and of a man and their relationship with the paternal figure in the vast landscapes of Mongolia. Tuntuulei, who has lost his father and been abandoned by his mother, lives isolated in the countryside with his grandparents, while Tulgaa returns to his home village after years in the city, to take care of his dying stepfather. When Tulgaa is making clumsy attempts to finish the harvest, he meets Tuntuulei, the child of the wide open expanses, who moves with great agility in this world of a nomadic culture which is inevitably disappearing.

Biography
Amarsaikhan Baljinnyam started to work as an actor and producer in the Mongolian film industry and won the prize as Best leading actor at the Mongolian Academy Awards with The Thief of the Mind by Janchivdorjiin Sengedorj. Between 2014 and 2016 he also acted in Marco Polo, an original Netflix series directed by John Fusco. In 2021 he was the screenwriter and actor of Under the Turquoise Sky by Kentaro. Harvest Moon is his debut film as a director and had its world premiere at the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2022.
