Synopsis
In a small village in the mountains, a group of teenagers are planning a short holiday by the sea but Fatema does not have her mother’s permission to go with them. After the death of her father, she has still not been able to completely embrace life as an Italian girl. The arrival of a new family of immigrants increases her feelings of ill ease in relation to the other youngsters; for Fatema it is time to measure herself up to a part of herself which she has kept hidden for too long.

Biography
Maaria Sayed is an independent filmmaker based between Mumbai and Italy. Maaria is an alumni of Asian Film Academy, Bucheon Fantastic Film School, Fajr Talent Campus, Cine Qua Non Lab among others. Her work has been supported by Busan Film Commission, Cineteca di Bologna, Sharjah Art Foundation among others.
