Tiziana Bergamaschi
Biography
Tiziana Bergamaschi graduated from the "Silvio D'Amico" National Academy of Dramatic Art and from "La Sapienza" University of Rome with a degree thesis on the Mimic Method, in its application at the "Starting Center at expression” of Florence. In addition to her work as an actress and director, she was a professor of Theater’s History and History of Performing Arts at the "Silvio D'Amico" National Academy of Dramatic Arts. In recent years she has been a teacher of the project "Meetings with contemporary dramaturgy" first at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts and then at the Accademia dei Filodrammatici. She is currently the creator and teacher responsible for the Accademia dei Filodrammatici of the "Teatro Utile" project, a pilot experiment of a multicultural laboratory within a school of theatrical art, now in its 13th year of life. Bergamaschi Founded the Cultural Association "Teatro Utile, il viaggio" made up of actors of different nationalities who, through theatrical practice, promote a Theater attentive to the needs of an increasingly multi-ethnic society and fragile minorities. She has been working in collaboration with Lorenzo Mosca (psychiatrist) and the EtNos association of psychologists, with refugees who have suffered PTS being treated at the Niguarda Hospital in Milan.
