Synopsis
A short satirical film on the security systems in the residential areas of Durban, South Africa. A filmmaker returns to his family home to isolate during a nationwide lockdown. He soon realizes that his upmarket neighbourhood has always been isolated and in lockdown, surrounded by tall, electrified fences and watched over by CCTV cameras...

Biography
Jethro Westraad is a young independent filmmaker and educator from South Africa. His camera has taken him across Europe, Southern Africa and the United States. Jethro’s diverse practice includes filmmaking, photography, academic and artistic research. His work is underscored by a decade of experience in documentary filmmaking, in which he holds a masters degree from DocNomads. Jethro’s work has been exhibited in South Africa, Norway, Portugal, Hungary and recently at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam - IDFA.
