Biography
Gianluca Mangiasciutti is an Italian director, a member of the Italian Academy of Cinema. He undergoes a long internship at HBO, and then completes his training through courses at UCSD (University of California San Diego). He works as an assistant director for numerous films, series, and commercials. He writes and directs several acclaimed short films, including Dove l’acqua con altra acqua si confonde, nominated for the David di Donatello and the Globo d’Oro, winner of the Studio Universal Award and the Rai Play Award. He also directs A girl like you, presented at the Venice Days during Venice '73, winner of the Studio Universal Award and the NuovoImaie Award. Subsequently, Je ne veux pas mourir will be released, in official selection at the Nastri d’Argento 2019 and nominated in competition in Cleveland and St. Louis, both qualifying festivals for the Oscars. He then directs Butterfly, nominated as a Finalist at the Nastri d’Argento. In 2022, he directs his first feature film, L’uomo sulla strada (The man on the road), premiered at the Rome Film Festival. My name is Aseman (2023), co-directed with Ali Asgari, is his latest short film.

Biography
Ali Asgari was born in Tehran, Iran. He studied cinema in Italy. Two of his short films, More Than Two Hours (2013) and The Silence(2016), were in competition at Cannes Film Festival and The Baby premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2014. Disappearance, his first feature film, was selected at Venice 2017. In 2022 Until Tomorrow was at the Berlinale and in 2023 Terrestrial Verses, co-directed with Alireza Khatami, was at Cannes in the Un Certain Regard section.
