Byambasuren Davaa
Biography
Byambasuren Davaa was born in Mongolia in 1971. She studied International Law in Ulaanbaatar and for a few years worked as a presenter for Mongolian state television. After a diploma in directing, in 2000 she attended the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film in Munich. The documentary The Story of the Weeping Camel, which marked her debut as a director, made with Luigi Falorni, was an Oscar nominee in 2004. Her end of course film, in 2005, The Cave of the Yellow Dog, was presented at festivals all over the world. Veins of the World is her first feature-length fiction film.
