The photographs of the Italian-Senegalese artist project us into the colorful but at the same time oppressive and persuasive universe of advertising for Western food products sold and exported to Africa. By focusing his research on one of these products, cooking nuts, he forces us to become aware of a phenomenon that has altered local food traditions to the point of transforming a Western industrial product into one of the fundamental ingredients of Senegalese cuisine and that of all of West Africa.
