Born in Rwanda, Jo Ingabire Moys survived the genocide against the Tutsi and moved to the UK at age 14. She began her film career with a writing commission for an independent project before working as script editor and consultant, later moving into production. She is a co-founder of Ishami Foundation, a charity that fights discrimination against refugees and immigrants.
