Michele Pennetta was born in Varese in 1984. He obtained a master's degree in film direction from the Scuola Cantonale d'Arte in Lausanne and Geneva. His graduation film, I cani abbaiano (2010), was selected at Cinéma du Réel in Paris and the Torino Film Festival, while 'A Iucata (2013) won the Golden Leopard for Best Short Film. Pescatori di corpi (2016) was selected for the international competition at Cineasti del Presente. Il mio corpo (2020) premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, in the Acid section, and was distributed in Europe, North America, England, and South Korea. Michele is now developing his first narrative feature film, The white club, in international co-production.
