Pietro Malegori
Biography
Pietro Malegori started his career as a film editor with Filmmaster Productions. In 2010 he decided to devote himself to directing, In 2008 he made the short film A Glance at Freedom, which was selected by several festivals, with which he won the critics’ prize at the Nickelodeon Film Festival of Spoleto in 2009. In 2011 Birthday was very successful on the web and obtained positive reviews all over the world. Since then, he has worked with Gabriele Salvatores, Giada Colagrande, Willem Dafoe, Francesco Jodice and Marco Gentile. In 2015 he worked on two documentaries: Wide Blue Delivery, which won the Napoli Film Festival in 2016 and has been selected by various international festivals, and Nuovo Alfabeto Umano. In 2017, he coproduces Moby Dick, by Nicola Sorcinelli, Nastro D’argento for the best short film, with Kasia Smutniak.
