As part of the 34th African, Asian, and Latin American Film Festival, Doppia Visione presents a participatory video podcast featuring Ibrahim Snoopy Ahmed, co-director of the film Khartoum (Feature Film Competition ‘Windows on the World’).
In conversation with Federico Allocca and Simone Corti, the director will delve into his artistic journey and cinematic vision, reflecting on the role of Cinema as a popular art form and its impact on communities where the film industry struggles to reach. The discussion will also explore the importance of supporting those who face these challenges while preserving their cultural identity, as well as the unique production, distribution, and narrative aspects of independent Cinema in Africa.
The event is part of the FESCAAAL Diffuso program, which takes place within the framework of the project Fuori per Festival. Diversity and inclusion take center stage in the city of community cinema, promoted by COE ETS and co-financed by Fondazione Cariplo.
