Synopsis
Following a violent clash in which he lost his friends, Eissa, a 17-year-old African migrant in Egypt initially finds refuge in a Coptic church in Cairo but is then forced to wander around the city together with his partner and his newborn baby. Eissa wants to save them at all costs from poverty and let them reach "paradise".

Biography
Morad is an Egyptian Filmmaker, born in Cairo in 1988. He worked in several independent films and collaborated as an Executive Director for Souad that was in the official selection in Cannes Film Festival 2020. Morad is an alumni of the Berlinale Talents Campus and Locarno Academy. He wrote and directed three short films and all of them were selected in Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in three consecutive years and were screened in more than 300 festivals worldwide and won several awards. His latest short film I promise you paradise is selected in Festival de Cannes “Critics' Week” 2023. Morad is currently developing his first feature film Aisha can’t fly away anymore in the Cinéfondation residence of the Cannes Film Festival, as well as at the Torino Film Lab and the Rotterdam Lab.
