Synopsis
Together with their mother Lucia, brothers Max and Leo have just crossed the border from Mexico into the United States in search of a better life. But it is not easy for them to gain a foothold in their new home country. While waiting for Lucia to return from work, the kids fight off their boredom by building an imaginary universe with their drawings and think about their Mom's promise of "Disneyland", the land of their dreams.

Biography
Samuel Kishi Leopo graduated in audiovisual arts from the University of Guadalajara. Her short films have been selected in over a hundred festivals around the world, including Clermont Ferrand and the Semaine de la critique in Cannes, and in 2011 Mari Pepa won the Best Short Film Award from the Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas and the Silver Eye at the Morelia International Film Festival. In 2014 his debut feature, Somos Mari Pepa is selected at the Berlinale in the Generation Kplus section.
