Synopsis
An “afronaut” emerges from the wreck of his rocket in the volcanic crater of Mount Nyiragongo: he is a traveller in space and time who has come to protect humanity. As he goes down into the city, he meets the people in today’s Goma and starts to realize what he has to do to change the future of his people.

Biography
Maisha Maene is a Congolese screenwriter and director based in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo. Starting form 2018, he directed various short films. His most recent short film Mulika was selected for Locarno Film Festival 2022, in the Pardi di Domani International Competition and won a jury prize.
