Synopsis
Hassan is a small drug dealer in the outskirts of Casablanca at the service of the head of the local gang. When the latter’s beloved dog is killed in a fight between dogs, Hassan is given the job of kidnapping a man involved in the animal’s death. To accomplish his mission, he brings in his son Issam. At first, everything seems to be going in the right direction, but very soon father and son find themselves trapped in a long nightmare of a night.

Biography
Kamal Lazraq was born in Casablanca in 1984. In 2011, he graduated in directing from the Femis in Paris with his short film Drari, with which he won the Second Prize of the Cinéfondation in Cannes and the Grand Prix at the Festival Entrevues in Belfort. In 2013, he made another short film, The Man with a Dog, and received many awards at international festivals. Hounds (Noir Casablanca) is his first feature film, which had its world premiere at Cannes in 2023.
