Synopsis
Twins, perfect and sacred, are special beings as are the mothers that conceive them. Benin is the cradle of voodoo and Hortense follows its dictates. The woman has given birth to three sets of twins, so she is a divinity in her village. Four twins have died and live in the form of statues, two are still alive. Every morning Chancelle and Chancelline walk through the forest to reach school and build a future for themselves.

Biography
Jacopo Marzi is a director based in Milan. For several years he worked with Sky Italia as a film editor and director, and made content for Italian and international advertising agencies, winning several awards. In 2021 he directed the short film Two Headed Mountain, in collaboration with National Geographic. Over the Forest was made in collaboration with WeWorld Onlus and supported by Canon. In the same year he made his first feature-length documentary, Hymn from the Hive, presented at the Astra Film Festival.
