Passing Dreams, by Rashid Masharawi | Palestine, France, Sweden | 2024 | 79′
For a film which allows interpreting, from an original point of view, a delicate and complex issue very much in the news: the coexistence of peoples of different languages and cultures in the same land. A young boy crosses Palestine looking for his pigeon which can fly across the military borders incarnating the aspiration for freedom and the wish to overcome barriers between peoples. The director offers a realistic and, at the same time, evocative and metaphorical, gaze, capable of moving the viewer throughout the whole journey of the determined main character, in the face of many difficulties, to follow his objective and his dream without second thoughts.

COE “Little Zebra” Award

My Brother, My Brother, by Saad Dnewar, Abdelrahman Dnewar | Egypt, Germany, France | 2025 | 15′
For the sensitivity shown in dealing with painful issues, transmitting the sensations and feelings of a personal experience of the directors. A poetic and exciting undertaking, which is also effective thanks to the quality of the animation, the colours and the soundtrack.

Généalogie de la violence, by Mohamed Bourouissa | France, Algeria | 2024 | 15′
For a short film which, through an intense narration and modern visual techniques, succeeds in putting the viewer into the shoes of the main character, showing the devastating effect of an unjustified search, triggered off by racial profiling.

Sirènes, by Sarah Malléon | Martinique | 2024 | 16′
