The Call for Entries to submit films for the 2024 edition of the African, Asian, and Latin American Film Festival is now open, until February 13th!

Which films can be selected?
For the next FESCAAAL’s competitive sections we’re only selecting films and videos produced in 2023 and 2024 – preferably Italian premieres – in the following categories:
“Windows on the World” Feature-Lenght Competition
Prize of 8,000 euros*
Fiction and documentary films made by directors from Africa, Asia and Latin America (minimum running time 60 min.)
African Short Film Competition
Prize of 2,000 euros*
Short films (fiction and documentaries) made by African directors (maximum running time 59 min.)
Extr’A Competition
Prize of 1,000 euros*
Fiction films and documentaries made by Italian and Italian-based directors in the three continents (Africa, Asia and Latin America) or related to immigration, integration and interculture in Italy.

Not only competitive sections: at FESCAAAL we are also presenting special sections and the Flash Section, with special premieres of the most recent works made by well-known filmmakers, films acclaimed by critics or awarded at the greatest festival worldwide. Only the best of the contemporary cinema which tries to tell about the current events in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
USpecial attention is given to shorts and features film from the three continent to present in the framework of the 5th edition of MiWorld Young Film Festival – MiWY (Milan, 7-11 May 2024). MiWY is a festival within the festival dedicated to new generations and teachers, which collects all the educational activities carried on by COE Association in the framework of film literacy projects.
